Cusco has a semi-dry and cold climate, the average temperature is 19 C and the minimum is 4 C.
The rainy season intensifies in the months of January through March. The coldest temperatures are between June and July. Cusco's must see sites are: Machupicchu, Sacsayhuaman, Tipon, Tambomachay, Maras, Moray and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and others. You may participate in the various annual local festivities and events.
You will be impressed by the massive Inca Walls, carefully assembled with large stones, which serve as foundation to many of the colonial buildings you will see in downtown. You will also witness the precious jewels of colonial architecture and the charming main plaza, surrounded by the Cathedral and the Company Church.
Cusco is Peru's main tourist center and it has the distinction to be considered a Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Sacred City of the Incas and Archeological Capital of America.
