Pisac

Pisac is your starting point in your journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The town is located 32 kilometers NE of Cusco. Its main square is a world of colors in craft fairs that are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
The archeological ruins of Pisac are located on a mountain not to far from the town, just 8 to 10 minutes by car.
Some areas of this complex were built at the edge of the mountain with many agricultural terraces where the incidence of frost and wind is lower. Some buildings have been shaped to fit the hillside. You can find the Solar Clock or Intihuatana which houses a central stone that allowed the setting of the changing seasons.
